Physics
I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, and moved to Eugene in 2016 to start my undergraduate studies at the University of Oregon. I graduated in the Spring of 2020 with a degree in mathematics and physics and started the graduate program in physics at UO in the Fall of 2020.
My research interests are in statistical physics and biophysics, with no particular emphasis since I am still a novice researcher. As an academic interest and as personal hobby, I enjoy learning new computational methods to solve interesting and complex problems.
Outside of academics, I love exploring the Pacific Northwest on hiking trails and along the coast. In my free time, I like to exercise, meditate, learn new math, and think about difficult problems in ethics. I also play copious amounts of online chess.
